Announcement
Trails to the Boundary Society (TTTBS) is a non-profit society that was incorporated in 2015 to promote community development in the West Boundary. We are happy to announce the receipt of grant funding from the Province of British Columbia through the Rural Economic Diversification Program (REDIP) for the development of an economic development focused website for the West Boundary.
Features of the new website are:
- Content to support business development and attract investors
- Links to existing resources, including tourism resources
- Incorporation of existing westboundaryconnect.com features (Directory, Community Calendar, notifications)
- Promotion of Visitor Centre in Rock Creek and the sale of local art, crafts, books, food and beverages
- Promotion of community services, including the ability to book rental space at participating centres and halls
- Promotion of TTTBS projects (trails management, Kettle River Echo, development of heritage park at 1910 Kettle Valley schoolhouse, bird watching, future online heritage content)
The grant includes some funding to research development of an online marketplace that could, if feasible, allow for online sales by local businesses without each business having to develop an online presence on their own.
As part of the development of the new website, we will be reaching out to businesses and organizations throughout the West Boundary. In the meantime, if you have any questions about us or our project, please contact:
