Job Title: West Boundary Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) Facilitator
The CAPC program provides group-based parent support to parents and families with children 0-6 years of age. In addition, the CAPC Worker is involved in activities that promote community capacity in relation to families with young children.
Education, Training and Experience:
- A diploma in a Human Services or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience working successfully with parents with young children or expectant mothers
- Class 5 Driver’s License
- Must be willing to be trained in First Aid with CPR if not holding a current certificate
- Must be willing to be trained in Food Safe if not holding a current certificate
Job Skills and Abilities:
- Good written and verbal reporting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and work effectively with others in both group and one to one setting with strong facilitation skills.
- Good organization, time and general management skills.
- Good interpersonal communication skills and team work skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to cultural awareness and competency.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment, including the community at large.
