Job Title:    West Boundary Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) Facilitator


The CAPC program provides group-based parent support to parents and families with children 0-6 years of age.  In addition, the CAPC Worker is involved in activities that promote community capacity in relation to families with young children.

Education, Training and Experience:

  • A diploma in a Human Services or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous experience working successfully with parents with young children or expectant mothers
  • Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Must be willing to be trained in First Aid with CPR if not holding a current certificate
  • Must be willing to be trained in Food Safe if not holding a current certificate

Job Skills and Abilities:

  • Good written and verbal reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and work effectively with others in both group and one to one setting with strong facilitation skills.
  • Good organization, time and general management skills.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills and team work skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to cultural awareness and competency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment, including the community at large.
