FREDA ERICSON

It is with deepest sympathy that we offer our sincere condolences to the Ericson family on their recent loss. Freda was made an honorary, lifetime member of the Rock Creek & Boundary Fair Association in 2016. In the last decade alone, Freda won the Margaret Harpur Memorial Trophy for the most exhibits in the Fair in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019. In these years she entered a combined total of more than 1,000 exhibits! Freda also won the Bruce Cuthbertson Memorial Trophy for Grand Aggregate (most points) in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. In addition, Freda won numerous Aggregate and Grand Aggregate rosettes in many categories such as Vegetables, Home Canning and Home Cooking.
Freda loved the Fair. She was a big supporter of the Association and her contributions of extraordinary exhibit entries at Fair and regular, faithful attendance at Association meetings will truly be missed. We are certain that attendance at Fair meetings increased when people knew that Freda was coming with one of her scrumptious cakes! Freda was a true ambassador of the Rock Creek & Boundary Fall Fair and her legacy shall not be forgotten.
