Memory Cafe Event in Grand Forks

A MEMORY CAFE is coming to Grand Forks on Saturday, May 2 (11 – 2) at the Curling Rink.

Come along if you have a loved one with cognitive decline and dementia – it’s for them, their families, their caregivers and their community who cares!
This is a free event and focused on living life well with a diagnosis of dementia.
This Grand Forks Memory Cafe will feature
A play written by Showtime Theatre Co. Which presents a family systems perspective on dementia
A Q and A to follow with nurse clinician and physician from Medical Arts Health Research
A free lunch
Live music
And much more
These participatory action research pilots help build awareness and empathy around the lived experience of Alzheimer’s and dementia and is experimenting with ways to build more dementia friendly communities across BC.
Please help us to spread the word by sharing.
Everybody knows somebody who is going through this.
This will be an arts-based and recreation based event providing information from professionals as well as those with lived experience. Often the Q and A’s yield insights for community planning committees.
